I recently participated in a session of medical Qi Gong using only the upper body. Since I have both hip and knee problems it seemed ideal for me. Anyone know where I can go for more information?

Marge,

Two of the Qi Gong sets on this site can be performed while sitting. The Da Mo Fist Set and the Energy Gathering Qi Gong. I have several local students here that sit during class and find these very effective.

Perhaps I'll put together a video showing them being done while sitting. No major changes need to be made. You'll have to use a chair without armrests as your arms need to hang straight down at certain points.

I hope that helps.

I was introduced to medical Qi Gong through a pain management program. I was provided with a DVD to take home. I too have a right knee problem along with other chronic pain issues. My knee has actually improved some since doing this. As I tried my best to faithfully run the DVD each night, I just remembered that it's not suppose to be painful. Just adjust the movements to where you don't hurt, the more sessions you involve yourself in, the more your body and system will benefit.

Thanks for your response. Can you give me any information on the DVD? The nodu name, producer, where to buy it, etc.
I appreciate any help you can give me on this.
