Hello,
I would like to hear from anyone who has experience with using Qi Gong as part of a wellness regime with the goal of weight loss. I was thinking it would really help me with some of the traps my mind pulls me into, but would really be interested to hear from anyone who has been practicing.
Thanks,
Corinne

I too am looking to find a way through Qi Gong to support weight loss efforts. I will share anything I discover.

Hi! My name is Joe, and I'm new to this forum. I have been practicing Cheng Man Ching Tai Chi for about two years, but am a novice where Qi Gong is concerned. However, I began practicing Shibashi Qi Gong about six weeks ago, and though I never expected it, it has had a profound effect on my weight.
My entire life, (I'm 60) food has been front and center in my thoughts. Planning my next meal occupied a great deal of my time, and over the years, my waistline paid the price. However, after only a week of steady Qi Gong practice, food suddenly became a low priority! This was a profound change to a lifetime obsession, and I can only say that after six weeks, I now find food as something that provides energy and well being, but it is no longer my grand obsession. I have now lost thirty pounds and feel thirty years younger. I case you're interested, I begin my day with 20 minutes of meditation, followed by two sets of Shibashi and the Tai Chi form. Before dinner, I repeat everything but the meditation. Doing a bit of research, I found that some of the Qi Gong movements I do are directly related to weight control. Good luck and I hope that I was of some small assistance.
