Maria - buy "Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine" by Dr. Gabriel Cousens. You can get it on Amazon. I think a live food diet would help you as many of your symptoms are from processed and refined foods. The first 100 pages of the book addresses the effects of those foods on our bodies with documented medical tests, blood tests and results. The processed foods are made for mass production and not nutrition. Slowly we develop allergies, candida, chronic diseases, emotional fluxations just due to our bodies reaction to the toxic foods clogging our glands, organs and blood. You can also go to his retreat or visit http://www.hippocratesinst.org/Oasis-Therapy-Center.aspx
They reverse chronic diseases and have 50 years of experience with a medical staff on board. They WILL UNDERSTAND so much better than the doctors that you have had to deal with.
I promise his book and Hippocrates would change your life :) as it has mine.

I am so sorry to hear about all these problems you are having. I know from my experience with Qi Gong, Tai Chi and walking, that you will feel better about yourself. You should feel more energetic, too. I don't mean that you will feel like a kid again, but you will feel better. Try to eat a healthy diet also.

I noticed that you wrote of being in a bible class. When I first went into the martial arts I found that I had a bit of an aversion to some styles. I found it hard to reconcile my faith and what that had taught me with what I was being taught. I realize that there are many forms of Christianity and I have no clue as to which church you belong, yet I had problems coming from a Mennonite background into the martial arts; and was curious as to what your thoughts were on what Qi Gong teaches vs your faith. I personally believe that it does not affect my faith adversely, I simply have to modify some of the interpretations of the bible I once had, sounds weak but it sits well with me somehow. On a side note, if you are here looking for a cure for all of your ailments-remember that it may not help or heal everything, but it is also rare to find something that cures all of life's ailments. It is also very important to remember that whether you are happy or sad, you are the one deciding on which emotion to feel. It is not easy to really grasp the concept to which I allude and I am not sure if I completely have it down either, but I do have done some battling with depression and ADHD, that have led me to where I am. I truly hope you find what you are looking for.
Peace and Chicken Greace ;)

I was introduced to Qi Gong at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage. It was unbelievable the results we got for reducing stress after just a short introduction and being shown some basic techniques. We didn't have time to ask a lot of questions at the time so I was wondering if Qi Gong can be used to relieve arthritis pain?

I hope things are getting better for you, Maria. During the short time I have been doing Qi Gong, my health both physical and mental have improved significantly. I pray that the same happens for you. Tom, I have had severe arthritis in my left thumb for the past two years. The finger was swollen to at least twice its normal size, would not move at all, and was becoming twisted and deformed. After one month of doing Shibashi Qi Gong, my thumb has returned to its normal size, I have no pain and almost full movement has returned. Call it a coincidence if you wish, but I bless the day I discovered Qi Gong. Good luck to you. Joe
