There are numerous sites on the Internet which espouse Qi Gong as a viable answer for many of life’s ills and problems. Do you personally recommend or endorse any author or publication that has verifiable or documented evidence or stories of individual successes?

Joseph,

I don't have a particular author or a publication to which I can direct you. It is my intention to create a links page on this site to which I and anyone else here can post links to studies, research, etc. There have been many studies done over the years on the effects of meditation, Qi Gong and Tai Chi. Most have shown mixed results.

Over the years of my participating in classes and teaching I've witnessed a lot of people realize dramatic improvements in their health. All of this of course is simply anecdotal and not real evidence.

Personally, I do not think that Qi Gong is the cure all. I don't believe there is one magic pill or exercise to heal everything. You will never hear me make outrageous claims that by doing Qi Gong x number of times a week will cure any disease you have. Primarily because I don't believe that to be true.

My goal is to share what I've learned with others in the hope that you can take away a few pieces of information to help you obtain a more balanced and healthy life.

I hope that helps Joseph.

If anyone has some links to documented research please post them here. I'll start collecting them and create a separate page for them later.

Bill,

A cure all is not my quest but rather a qualified system, lifestyle if you like, which makes tolerable the unquenchable urge to have a hand in ones own choices, health or overall destiny. To be able to be, do or have something that has not been a part of a person’s inculcated yet unacceptable traditions. Therefore, I seek the history less corrected. No, there is no panacea. Thanks.

Joe,

It sounds as if you are on the right path. Sorry if I veered off on a bit of a tangent. I hope you find on this website a few useful items on your journey.

I look forward to chatting with you more.

-Bill
